Andreas Rennet has more than 25 years experience in different industries, mainly automotive and mobility. After he has studied material science he supplemented his knowledge with mechanical engineering in the core subject light weight structures for automotive where he made his PhD.

After leaving university, Andreas started his professional career as the managing partner of an engineering company heco-founded that offered technology transfer between development and application as well as engineering services and process consulting.

He established the company on the market and successfully applied his expertise in metal forming technology, CAD, and software technologies to design, FEM-simulation, and tool and parts development, as well as to development and consulting on processes in product lifecycle management and software systems. He successfully developed and established a business intelligence system for automotive OEMs to improve the development process tracking. In the same period he was co-founder of a software company which is focusing on IoT, business intelligence and mobility solutions.

After leaving the company Andreas Rennet has worked exclusively as a management consultant in the area of production, manufacturing, turnaround and growth strategies. Prior establishing RTIC, he was managing director of a consulting company, focusing on benchmark and productcost management, cost engineering. Parallel to his engagement at RTIC he is member of the advisory board of different companies.

He has published various articles in trade journals and held lectures at seminars and conventions on the subjects of lightweight, processes, product costing, benchmarking and product cost management.
